According to Greek Statistics Servicethe use of computers and the Internet is increasing although slowly 2,3% and 4,7% respectively. Also 1 in 2 households access the Internet.
In the last five years (2006 – 2010) increase is observed for:
- Computer usage in House 28,7%
- Internet access 53,6%
The "profile" of those who use the Internet is defined as men aged 25 – 34, medium-educated graduates of secondary education and vocational training institutes.
Daily usage is observed for the 70,1% of those who used the Internet in the first quarter of 2010, and regular use, at least once a week, but not every day, for the 91,9%.
Access through Smartphones
According to the survey results, Internet access via mobile or smart phone (smart phone) phone is eminently male habit (68,8%). These people average level of education Graduates of secondary education and vocational training institutes, which belong to age group 16 – 24 years, which, but, differs from that of Internet users, in general.

The information search and on-line services are at the top of the list of activities through the Internet with a 93.4%. 9 out of 10, of those who used the Internet, Finding information about goods and services, and 8 to 10 used it to communicate.
